Edinburgh Trams is the award winning operator of the city’s tramway with services from every three minutes to 15 locations across the city. The Edinburgh tram route covers 14km from the city centre all the way to Edinburgh Airport. Popular stops include Princes Street, Ingliston Park & Ride and Edinburgh Park Central (business park). Work to connect Edinburgh’s existing tram network to the Newhaven line will mean the closure of the York Place stop and a temporary suspension of services to other city centre stops.
Connect with trains at Edinburgh Gateway, Edinburgh Park Station and Haymarket. Waverley Station is just a short walk from St Andrew Square. The service runs 7 days a week, 364 days of the year (no service Christmas Day).
The tram operates with 99% reliability. You can buy your tram ticket at each of the tram stop platforms, online at edinburghticket.com or on the Transport for Edinburgh app which is free to download.
