Aird Cottage
A charming, traditional cottage set in its own extensive grounds overlooking Badachro Bay. The cottage sleeps 6 and dogs are very welcome. It is comfortable and as warm as you want to make it thanks to the new radiators in every room, underfloor heating in the new bathroom and a cosy sitting room with an open fire. The big garden, which provides a safe and secure place for your children and dogs to play in for hours, has breathtaking views over the bay to the village and to the mountains. The pub is a 15 minute walk away and there are shops, beautiful beaches, walks & climbs, fishing, boat trips, and golf within a 15 minute drive.
The cottage comprises one double room and one twin room on the ground floor; two single attic rooms with coomb ceilings up a steep and narrow wooden staircase, a sitting room, kitchen/dining room, bathroom and seperate toilet. Recently, it has had a new bathroom, new radiators, new carpets, new furniture and a new double bed, and so it is in good condition, warm and comfortable.
The cottage has an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and SmartTV, and the washing machine and tumble drier are situated in an outhouse. The new bathroom has a shower, bath and underfloor heating. The wi-fi is around 50Mbs download speed. There is a private car park with space for three cars.
The Cottage nestles on a grassy terrace at the bottom of a steepish path, with occasional steps, that wends its way through mature trees - not suited to wheelchairs or people with walking difficulties. It has its own private car park for three cars.
From the garden the view is magnificent: south across Dry Island and the bay to Badachro; and east down Gairloch to Flowerdale and the Gairloch hills, mighty Slioch towering beyond.
Within a short distance you can enjoy outstanding beaches, wonderful walks and challenging climbs, golf, fishing for trout, salmon and sea fish, cycling, wildlife, boat trips, water sports, horse riding, ceilidh dances, great food and lively chat over a pint in the Inn. Alternatively, you can just sit back and relax away from the hurly-burly of everyday life.
