A bright, modern semi-detached town house on 2 floors. It is one of three very pretty white town houses, built in a quiet courtyard behind St Columba’s Church. French doors lead to an enclosed, lawned and walled garden. There is private parking with 2 spaces adjacent to the cottage in the courtyard.

There is a double bedroom with king sized bed, a compact single bedroom and a shower room upstairs.

There is a lounge dining room with French doors to the private garden. The kitchen is separate. Central heating throughout. Free Wi-Fi.

This vacation rental is only a 10 minute flat walk into Ayr town centre, beach, bus and train stations.

We can supply a lot of items for children such as cots high chairs toys, books, etc

Larger groups can be catered for in co located properties including Dairy Cottage in the same courtyard. Dairy Cottage sleeps 6 further guests.

Ayr is a bustling market town, ideally located for a holiday, with good, easy shopping, attractive coastline with ruined and inhabited castles, sandy beaches, walking, cycling, golfing and fun days out for all the family. There are a range of restaurants, pubs and clubs to suit all tastes and budgets.

Attractions such as Culzean Castle and Dumfries House are about 30 minutes away by car. Both have houses to explore and vast grounds and gardens that are worth a visit at anytime of the year. Closer to the cottage is the suburb of Alloway, the birthplace of Robert Burns and now the home of Robert Burns Birthplace Museum. Ayr Racecourse is close by. In Irvine, about half an hour away by car there is the Maritime Museum in its harbour setting.

The Ayr Gaiety Theatre has occasional shows as does The Palace Theatre at Kilmarnock.

For golfers, there is a huge choice of public and private courses to choose from including 3 Open Championship venues namely Royal Troon, Old Prestwick and Turnberry.

There are easy train links to access Glasgow and Edinburgh for a day out leaving the car at the cottage. Ardrossan Harbour for the ferry to the Isle of Arran is a mere 30 minutes drive away. The ferry at Cairnryan for Northern Ireland is about 46 miles away.

Easy access from Ayr town centre by car or 10 minute walk from train station,bus station 15 minutes by car from Prestwick airport and 1 hour drive from Glasgow airport.
