Drummohr is located just 2 miles from Musselburgh and 10 miles from Edinburgh. The campsite entrance is a short walk to the shores of the Firth of Forth and the John Muir Way. Bus stop 5 minutes’ walk and train station 20 minutes or there is a large park and ride.
Campsite open all year and is a perfect spot for an Edinburgh Hogmanay or Christmas market break. Winter seasonal pitches available.
A peaceful, picturesque, sheltered site, surrounded by ancient trees, Drummohr was originally the walled garden of a monastery and retains its tranquil atmosphere. There is a quiet site policy after 10.30pm.

This dog-friendly Scottish campsite welco/mes up to two well behaved dogs free of charge on its touring pitches and for a small cleaning fee in the dog friendly holiday lodges with hot tubs. There is a sheltered dog walk on site and plenty of local options around the Levenhall Links Nature Reserve and the woods of the Prestongrange Industrial Heritage Museum. Hot water dog wash and on site dog walk.
On site are a range of camping and glamping accommodation suitable for solo travellers, families and couples.

Just 10 miles from the vibrant Scottish capital Edinburgh, accessible by bus and train from Drummohr, this East Lothian campsite is the perfect base to explore the landmarks, amenities, events and culture of this festival city. A 5-minute walk from site takes you down onto the John Muir Way, a long-distance walk from Dunbar to Helensburgh, which hugs the East Lothian coastline. The area is rich for cycling, walking and golf, with East Lothian boasting 21 fantastic Scottish golf courses, making Drummohr the perfect base for a Scottish golfing holiday in East Lothian.
Musselburgh is just a couple of miles away, with its famous racecourse, fishing harbour and high street with a range of shops, restaurants and local amenities. There are also local amenities in Prestonpans, a short walk from the site.

Drummohr Camping & Glamping Site is located between the B1361 and B1348 heading East on the A1 from Musselburgh towards North Berwick. There are brown tourist signs from the A1 as you pass through Wallyford. If travelling from Musselburgh along the B1348 watch for the large chimney of the Preston Grange Mining Museum and take the road on the right signposted to the museum. Please be aware that the road turns sharply before the campsite and therefore this route may not be suitable for caravans.
East Lothian Bus number 26 from Princes Street Edinburgh (direction Seton Sands or Tranent) stops at the Mining Museum Prestonpans bus stop, less than 5-minutes’ walk from the entrance to Drummohr Camping and Glamping site. Simply follow the road up the hill and the entrance is on the right-hand side. Trains run every hour between Edinburgh Waverley and Wallyford Railway Station (20 minutes ‘walk) and take approximately 10 minutes. Wallyford Railway Station has a large park and ride.
