Imagine waking up in your own Hebridean Hideaway, looking out onto a view that never looks the same twice. The beautiful, ever changing Loch Erisort is right outside your window surrounded by the heather clad, rolling hills of Harris & Pairc.
Situated above the home of Gaelic-speaking Marion & William MacDonald, a warm Hebridean welcome awaits you.
Willie, a retired seaman who grew up a few 100 yards from the flat, can tell you all the best secret fishing and walking spots. While Marion, a retired school teacher, can guide you to the nearest home baking.
The flat is fully self-contained with its own entrance. You have use of the sun porch at the front of the property which overlooks the fabulous views of Loch Erisort and the surrounding hills. You can also relax in the garden when the weather (and midges) allow.
The village of Balallan has the strange title of being the longest continuous village in Scotland and dates back to Nordic times. Its ideally situated for touring both Lewis and Harris as its almost half way between Stornoway (20-minute drive) and Tarbert (30-minute drive).
To get the most out of your trip, a car is recommended. Off road parking is available as is bike storage, if required.
