Hartfell House is situated in a peaceful rural setting in a designated "Outstanding Conservation Area" on the edge of the town of Moffat. It overlooks the surrounding hills, yet is only a few minutes' walk from Moffat's attractive town centre. The building is of local stone, and is officially 'Listed' as being of architectural interest, dating from around 1850.

Due to COVID-19 we have taken some extra measures to ensure your stay at Hartfell House is as relaxing as possible.

We have followed Scottish Government and industry guidelines, have a risk assessment in place and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing. So we are officially “Good To Go”!

Breakfast service will be staggered to ensure that we can comply to the 2 metre distancing requirement.

We will ask you to pre-order breakfast on arrival and book a time to assist with this.

If you would prefer not to eat in the dining room we can offer a packed breakfast for you to take away if ordered in advance.

The Limetree Restaurant is open for dinner on Friday and Saturday only.

Booking in advance is essential and a pre-order will be required.

Menus will be emailed ahead of your stay if you have made a reservation.

Exit M74 at Junction 15. Follow A701 to Moffat. From the High Street turn right at the clock tower onto Well Street. Go straight ahead at the crossroads onto Old Well Road. Hartfell Crescent is at the top of the hill on the right.
