Lochshore House is in a wonderful location on Loch Greshornish with stunning views out across the sea to the Western Isles. It stands in a working croft and has its own shoreline, a mixture of rocky beach and headland.
We offer two double bedrooms, both at the front of the house with stunning sea and sunset views. Each room is tastefully furnished with contemporary oak furniture and includes a smart TV, Bluetooth speaker, hairdryer and a well stocked refreshment tray with a Nespresso machine.Both ensuites have large fluffy white towels and complimentary luxury toiletries. Bathrobes and slippers are also provided. Free Wi-fi is available throughout the house.
The guest rooms share a private upstairs sitting room where there is a selection of books and maps and a fridge .The night skies here are incredible, Skye has some of the darkest possible night skies in the whole of Europe and the Northern Lights can be seen from the house at certain times of the year.
Breakfast is served at individual tables in our light and airy breakfast room which overlooks the loch. We have a large menu with such offerings as a full Scottish breakfast, french toast with blueberries, buttermilk pancakes and a variety of omelettes. We bake our own bread and eggs are fresh from our own chickens and ducks. We source local produce where possible and have a Taste our Best award for the quality of our food.
We are a walker and cyclist friendly bed and breakfast and we provide drying facilities and secure cycle storage. If you prefer to arrive by car or motorbike, there is ample off-road parking, and under cover storage for motorbikes.
You are welcome to walk on the croft, fish from the shore or launch your own kayak.
Lochshore House is ideally situated, Edinbane village is just a 5 minute drive away and here you will find a great local pub , the Edinbane Inn and the award winning Edinbane Lodge restaurant.Portree with its many eating places is 15 minutes away in one direction and 10 minutes in the other direction will bring you to Waternish where you will find the Michelin starred Lochbay Restaurant. The famous Three Chimneys restaurant is only a few miles further on.
