Mashman’s Cottage allows you to experience the magic of being in close quarters to Islay’s oldest distillery. The word ‘cosy’ may just have been created especially for Mashman’s Cottage – a place to retreat to with a loved one or very good friend!

Pour a dram, stand beside Loch Indaal and watch the sun set on the horizon.

Wake up when the sun rises and pop next door to the Mactaggart Leisure Centre swimming pool or head straight for Lochindaal if you’re brave enough!

Inside your cottage, you will find a large living space to the right as you enter the property- perfect for two! Through the back is your kitchen area and private patio, ideal for relaxing outside, on those special, sunny days. Outside your bedroom window you have the picture-perfect view over Lochindaal and the Bowmore Distillery Visitor Centre.

Watch out for dolphins and seals that may appear in the bay!

Mashman’s Cottage has: 1 ensuite bedroom with 1 double bed.

Mashman's Cottage is 1 of the 2 original Bowmore Distillery Cottages. This cottage once housed people who worked within the distillery until 1992, from this year, the cottage was renovated and used only to house workers coming over from the mainland.

From 2004, the decision was made to welcome people from all over the World to stay with us, here at the Distillery.
