Squirrels' Drey is a quiet hideaway in the heart of Innerleithen, in the beautiful Tweed Valley. Perfectly located for the best mountain bike trails, fishing on the river Tweed and country walks. Sleeps 6 in 2 king beds and a bunk bed.
There is a lawned area, spacious patio with circular garden table and benches for al-fresco dining, washing line, garden hose and Asgard bike store. A rear garden gate with keypad entry and fully enclosed perimeter makes the property very secure and safe for children - there is the added benefit of a movement sensor light and security camera on the exterior of the property. The rear gate accesses the private parking area for 1 car (free on road parking for additional vehicles) and driveway which leads out onto the road and playing fields behind.
This deceptively large maisonette is arranged over the first and second floors of a period property and is accessed via an external staircase complete with movement sensor light. The porch offers plentiful storage for jackets and shoes, as well as a tumble dryer and pegs for the washing line.
As you enter, the living/dining room is to the right: two 3 seater sofas are arranged either side of a feature fireplace (decorative only) creating a comfy and cosy sitting area - at the opposite end of the room, the sizeable dining table seats six with plentiful tableware for entertaining. This spacious room boasts a TV and CD Player (with CDs!), double glazed windows, heavy blackout curtains and plentiful books and board games to keep the everyone entertained. In addition, there is a TV den/home office space located along the hall which allows the family to spread out if needed.
The kitchen is semi-open plan to the seating area and is fully equipped with gas oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, plentiful crockery, glassware and cookware - and enjoys views over the garden.
Along the hall there is a WC, TV Den/home office (as mentioned) and a sizeable bunk bed room for the children, complete with blackout shutters, dressing annexe with desk area and stool, clothes rail and chest of drawers.
Access to the upper floor is via an enclosed staircase, where you will find two spacious king-size rooms at either end of the landing, each complete with comfortable chair, towel rail, wardrobe and chest of drawers. A family bathroom with mountain views is located in between the bedrooms with a power shower (off taps) over the bath, second electric shower, basin and mirror.
