Our lovely stone croft cottage overlooks Loch Pooltiel in the NW of the beautiful Isle of Skye, surrounded by the ancient and wild landscape it is known for. Views from its elevated position are stunning. South are Waterstein Head and Moonen Bay; north are Dunvegan Head and Outer Hebrides. Enjoy the utter peace and tranquillity. Being in a Dark Sky area, the night skies are truly remarkable - possibly even witness the Aurora Borealis! A good holiday base to tour this magical, mystical and romantic isle: see the seals, sharks or minky whales from the shore or climb in the Cuillins or nearby sea cliffs. Spot fossilised dinosaur footprints on the beaches or see golden eagles nesting on Waterstein Cliffs. Dine in the Three Chimneys, Red Roof Café or Seafood Restaurant at Stein. Visit Dunvegan Castle, the Coral Beach, Neist Point Lighthouse. Cycling, kayaking and sea trips available locally. Shop 2 miles.
