Hearthstanes Estate is a working hill farm in the scenic Tweedsmuir Hills and adjacent to the only Wildlands of the Scottish Borders. We are located along the River Tweed, and within easy reach of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle. We offer 5 self-catering cottages within the Steading. The cottages can accommodate 2-8 guests each, a total of 24 guests (pets are welcome). On the farm you can hike, bike, and fish. Falconry, deer stalking, 9-pin bowling and 4x4 tours of the Estate can be arranged.

Hearthstanes Estate is a working hill farm within the picturesque Tweedsmuir Hills and adjacent to the only Wildlands of the Scottish Borders.

We are located along both sides of the River Tweed, and within easy reach of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle.

We offer five self-catering cottages within the Steading. The cottages can accommodate 2-8 guests each, and a total of 24 individuals (pets are welcome).

There is a wide range of activities on the farm, including hiking, biking, and fishing. Falconry demonstrations and deer stalking are available by prior arrangement, and 9-pin bowling at the Steading and 4x4 tours of the Estate can be arranged once you are here.
