Rich local heritage meets coastal charm at our Royal Marine Hotel in Brora. Nestled on the golden shorelines of Sutherland, the Royal Marine Hotel is the perfect place to stop, unwind and explore the northeast Highlands on your NC500 adventure.

There are beautiful beaches as well as an unspoilt wilderness of lochs, glens and mountains which are right on our doorstep. Guests can enjoy outstanding, seasonal local food in our Curing Yard Restaurant, or visit The Megan Boyd Bar, named after the famous maker of flies for fishing. Brora Golf Club is just next door offering a challenging 18-hole links course which can be followed by a drink and bite to eat in the James Braid Lounge at Royal Marine Hotel. Our expertly crafted cocktail menu showcases some of the best local brands in the region and we have a fine selection of whisky to be savoured.

At Royal Marine Hotel we are passionate about food. As our region is full of high quality, award-winning food and drink we select only the finest and freshest local produce to give you flavour filled dishes, including seafood and 28-day hung beef, supplied from the nearby town of Golspie. Highland Fine Cheeses of Tain and Clynelish Distillery malts add a Highland kick to some of our sweet and savoury dishes.
