The much loved Golf Tavern, one of Scotland's oldest and finest establishments, has returned to her former glory!

The 2011 refurbishment has been completed, check out our photo gallery for a glimpse of what awaits. The authentic interior added with a new look, modern twist, this unique bar and restaurant has been brought back to her finest!

She offers not only an elegant fresh food menu and drinking experience but the atmosphere and ambience to match. We have increased our whisky range and included a unique international whisky selection picked from some of the finest countries around the world. And no, we haven't stopped there as we also have new lagers, cask ales and spirit ranges.

All that is left for us to do is to give you, our customers, the best dining and drinking experience available. So, come down and see the staff and enjoy the new look, authentic Golf Tavern.

Play the oldest short-hole golf course in the world - Bruntsfield Links Course now open from April - September 2013

Today Bruntsfield Links remains one of Scotland's few free public golf courses. Looked after by the City Council's local green keeper it is a beautiful stretch of inner city parkland that also offers a rich and colourful history.

Golf clubs and balls can be hired from the Golf Tavern for visitors wishing to have a play on the oldest short-hole golf course in the world and experience this slice of golfing history for themselves.

Monday to Thursday we offer 2 main meals for £10 12-5pm and then a starter and a main for £10 from 5pm-9.30pm

Our Eat, Drink and Play deal includes:

Golf Club Hire (a pitching wedge, a putter, a score card and a ball)

A Drink per person with a choice of a pint of Carling Lager, Blackthorn Cider or Belhaven Best, a bottle of Corona, a 125ml glass of Red or White Wine or a Soft Drink.

A Meal per person with a choice of

Double Cheese Macaroni au Gratin (v) served with garlic croutons

Chilli Bowl with Rice, Tortilla Chips, Cheese, Sour Cream and Jalapenos

Beef Burger with Skinny Fries and Relish (with optional cheese)

Chilli and Chickpea burger (v) with Skinny Fries and Relish (with optional cheese)
