Vurie Adventures provide self-guided trail cycling, road cycling and mountain biking holidays in Scotland. Our tours take you along quiet back roads, country lanes, forest trails and over mountain passes. It's mostly traffic free cycling.
Vurie pronounced voo-ree is a phonetic translation of the Gaelic word 'Bhuiridh' which means 'roaring'.
Our cycle tours are suitable for everyone from the reasonably fit non-cyclist to seasoned athletes who are no stranger to the saddle. The tours are mostly off-road - what we call trail cycling - but we also offer some purely on road options.
The on-road routes mostly follow quiet country lanes while the trail tours switch between rough forest tracks, metaled road and woodland paths. Lochs, glens and pretty highland towns feature in all our holidays, as do whisky distilleries and castles.
For those seeking a challenge we offer more demanding mountain bike routes. These are suitable for fit cyclists with some mountain biking experience.
We arrange everything for you including bicycles, accommodation and the transfer of you and your luggage once on tour. Of course, anyone wishing to bring their own bike is welcome to do so. You’ll also receive detailed route notes along with colour coded maps.
