Broadmeadows Farmhouse is literally beside the Southern Upland Way (Broadmeadows to Yair) in a secluded position enjoying magnificent views of the Yarrow Valley. We are proud to say that we offer just that little bit more than most B&B's in that you are given full private use of the main house during your stay with 24/7 access to all public rooms and the front garden. Should you wish to bring your own beverages and prepared catering you are welcome to use our cutlery and crockery which will really make a home from home atmosphere with out the washing up.... we do that for you!!
We have some first class shopping locally with a wonderful choice of restaurants and cafe's, also Edinburgh is an easy journey by road or a fun train trip with railway stations at Galashiels and Tweedbank. Newcastle is just across the border and is a leisurely day excursion by car again offering some first class shopping and beautiful scenery en route.
Bowhill Estate, Abbotsford House (once home of Sir Walter Scott), and Floors Castle are among the many fascinating historical venues open to the public.
Popular sporting events hosted each year include: A Tour of the Borders cycling weekend, Kelso Races, the internationally recognized Melrose rugby 7's and the Common Rides held in Selkirk, Hawick, Galashiels, Melrose and Lauder all of which are near by.
