The Highland Spirit Bed and Breakfast is situated in the heart of Speyside making it an ideal base for for the whisky trail, walking, visiting castles, exploring the Moray coast, or casting a rod on the Spey.
The Highland Spirit, a listed building of around 1830, and has undergone major refurbishment, retaining all the character whilst making it a modern and luxurious bed and breakfast. All the large spacious rooms have beds that can be either superking or twin and each have two armchairs. All rooms are ensuite with high quality showers and bespoke features.
The building retains Georgian and Victorian features including original fireplaces, sash windows, panelling, cornicing and ceiling roses. Previous owners have included Grants the Coppersmiths and Alan Bennett, the penultimate Exciseman at Mortlach Distillery. The rear of the building was a branch of the North of Scotland Bank and includes entrance, walk in safe, bank office and manager's bedroom.
Local attractions include the Dufftown to Keith Railway, the 7 distilleries of Dufftown, Glenfiddich Distillery and Visitor Centre, the Speyside Cooperage and Balvenie Castle. There are many local walks of different lengths and interests.
