The MacDougall Clansman is a small family run hotel with a Two Star rating from Visit Scotland. We are conveniently situated in the centre of Inverness, less than five minutes walk from Inverness Railway Station, Farraline Park Bus Station, shops, restaurants, tour departure points and the tourist information centre. The Airport Bus service, number 11, stops just around the corner from us outside the Post Office on Queensgate. Inverness Castle and the River Ness are moments walk away. The Ness Islands and the Eden Court Theatre and Cinema complex, with its beautiful setting overlooking the river, are approximately 15 minutes walk upstream from us.
We offer comfortable and affordable city centre accommodation in a friendly, family-run Highland style. All of our bedrooms have en-suite facilities, hospitality tray, lcd television with radio and wake-up alarm and individually controlled central heating for those chilly winter days. All rooms have double glazing and curtains with blackout lining for those bright summer early mornings and late nights. All rooms are non-smoking. Our room rates are all inclusive of vat, breakfast and wireless broadband internet access, which is available in all bedrooms and public areas.
Several car parking options are located nearby, including free overnight parking outside the hotel on Church Street from 6pm until 8am, Monday to Saturday. There are no parking restrictions all day on Sundays, with the exception of the Disabled parking bays.
During the day from 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, on-street parking is metered at £1 for one hour maximum. A free short term 15 minute ticket is available by pressing the green button on any ticket machine. Tickets purchased after 6pm will cover the period from 8am the following morning, saving you an early morning trip down to the meter! Two hour parking bays are available around the corner from us on Friars Street.
Parking in loading bays is permitted free of charge for a maximum of five minutes for loading or unloading luggage or passengers from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and unrestricted outside these times. Disabled parking bays are located directly outside the hotel. Please ensure that disabled bays are only used if a valid Blue Badge is clearly displayed.
Long-term parking is available very nearby at the Old Town Rose Street Car Park, IV1 1NQ, approximately 250yd/230m walk from us. Rates offer very good value, tiered up to £7.00 for up to 24 hours.
