Pipersquoy Cottage is a cosy, charming two bedroomed cottage in Kirkwall, Orkney, offering self catering accommodation for up to 6 people. A short walk leads to St Magnus Cathedral and there are sandy beaches, pubs, and restaurants nearby.
Pipersquoy Cottage is situated close to a wide choice of local shops and supermarkets. Kirkwall also benefits from several wonderful small independent grocers and delicatessens - Kirkness&Gorie.
Kirkwall also has an abundance of independent retailers, where you can sample all of the delicacies that Orkney produces.
The cottage is also convenient for Orkney Golf Club and the Pickaquoy Centre, known locally as ‘Picky’, with its swimming pools, gym and sports facilities and cinema.
Further afield.......This centrally located cottage makes it a fantastic base for visits to the many attractions that Orkney has to offer in all directions north, south, east and west of Kirkwall.
Further afield is the heart of Neolithic Orkney, where you will find the Ness of Brodgar archaeological site, the Ring of Brodgar and Standing Stones of Stenness. It is also in easy reach of many other sites, including the Maeshowe Chambered Cairn, and Neolithic village of Skara Brae.
Or you might like to visit the 16th century town of Stromness with it's craft shops, cafes, pubs, museums and art galleries.

Facilities
Pipersquoy Cottage has three bedrooms and sleeps up to four adults. It has a welcoming spacious entrance hall and sitting area with a large south facing window, an open plan dining kitchen and a cosy lounge.
The ground floor master bedroom is spacious with a double bed and built in wardrobe. Across the hall is the family bathroom with shower over the bath, WC and wash-hand basin. The second bedroom is a twin bedroom on the ground floor and the third bedroom on the first floor also has twin beds and a wash-hand basin.
The kitchen is well equipped and is stocked with a selection of essential items, such as instant & ground coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, assorted dried herbs and spices and salt & pepper.
EPC Energy Rating E but has had recommended depth of insulation added to loft since grading.
At the entrance to the Cottage there is a small walled patio area, and a secure store for bicycles.
There is on site parking for one car with on-street parking within 10 meters for another car.

Cleaning is done to a high standard.The stairs to first floor bedroom are quite steep. The premises are not at present suitable for wheel chair access.
No pets unless agreed by owner.
