The site is suitable for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents. Pitches comprise of grass and hard standing areas. There are 49 pitches in total, including 36 electric hook-up points & 13 without hook up. There is a service area where you can fill up with fresh water & dispose of chemical & grey wastewater.
The amenities block has recently been upgraded and has benefited from new modern self-contained toilets & showers with underfloor heating & solar powered hot water system. There is also a wheelchair accessible bathroom & baby changing facilities. Within the block there is a washing machine, tumble dryer and dish washing area in the camper’s kitchen. A kettle, microwave, free Wi-Fi & charging points for mobile devices are available within a cosy & welcoming lounge . Within the lounge there is a selection of board games, books as well as lots of local information on what to see and do whilst on your Orcadian adventures.
Stromness is a small, picturesque town built on the lower slopes of a granite hillside. Many houses are built into the side of the hill whilst others are built on the stone piers jutting out into the sea. The narrow main street twists long the shoreline giving tremendous character to the town. Stromness has many shops which stock local Orkney produce such as coffee, fish, cheese & local home style bakes. Stromness is also host to local jewellery designers and art galleries. Why not stop in by Stromness Museum or head to our local swimming pool & fitness centre, where you can have a steam , sauna & jacuzzi session.
