The Selkie is a traditional cottage tucked away in a toft terrace in the seaside village of Cellardyke in the East Neuk of Fife.
Its spacious living area is open plan with stylish seating and a wood-burning stove set into the wall, a well-equipped kitchen area and a dining area alongside. Upstairs are two double bedrooms with sea views and a sunny bathroom and outside is a charming sun trap courtyard.
There is a shop and pub that serves meals in walking distance and canoeing, abseiling, archery and mountain biking are available from the village. Boat trips head out from Anstruther (0.5m, supermarket) across to the Isle of May to see its sea bird colonies. There are plenty of golf courses nearby and St Andrews (10m, shops, pubs, restaurants) is known as the ‘home of golf’.
