With its idyllic lake-side setting and laid-back vibe, Jay Bird's Larder is not your conventional café. It’s a quirky outdoor eaterie in a, quite frankly, beautiful setting. Picnic tables and deckchairs overlook the lake or you can cosy up in the re-vamped train carriage or ‘the shack’ complete with hot-water bottles and blankets should the Scottish summer choose to be less than kind.

It’s not just wakeboarders and adrenaline-junkies who choose to go here. Jay Bird's Larder is the perfect pit-stop if you’re walking the John Muir Way or just fancy an amble around Foxlake itself. It’s the perfect place for indulging in a spot of people watching as well as any of the scrumptious dishes. The café is is the ideal place to meet up, relax and sit for a while to enjoy the ambiance and the café's range of goodies.

The all-day menu offers anything from breakfast rolls and summer fruit granola to milkshakes and smoothies, from locally sourced 'Posh Dogs' and signature Smash Burgers to sharing platters of cheese and charcuterie. Not to mention a gorgeous array of traybakes and cakes. You also can enjoy afternoon tea, served on gorgeous vintage china and mismatched teacups as well as varied vegan options. As one of VisitScotland's 'Taste Our Best' venues Jay Bird's Larder ensures it uses local producers, butchers, bakers and dairies as much as possible.
