The King's Theatre Glasgow, designed by prolific theatre architect Frank Matcham, opened its doors in 1904 and has presented top-class entertainment ever since.
The King’s legendary pantomime has featured Scottish greats including Stanley Baxter, Jimmy Logan, Elaine C. Smith, Karen Dunbar and Gerard Kelly, and to date is still a must-see Christmas show. This year the King’s presents Cinderella with Rab C. Nesbitt co-stars, Gregor Fisher and Tony Roper, reunited as the ugly sisters.
Show-stopping musicals straight from Broadway and London’s West End are regular features alongside a wide range of comedy, children’s entertainment and drama. In addition the King’s is a strong supporter of flourishing amateur dramatic groups.
