Tweed Valley Forest Park was established in 2004 and is arguably Scotland's most popular and visited forest. It includes a number of recreation activities and memorable days in Scotland's great outdoors.
Located amidst stunning Borders scenery, Tweed Valley Forest Park includes seven forests: Caberston, Cademuir, Cardrona, Glentress, Thornielee, Traquair (Innerleithen) and Yair. There's a great selection of waymarked walking routes, horse-riding trails, wildlife watching opportunities and lots of other points of interest for visitors coming to this lovely part of southern Scotland.
It's here you will also find renowned mountain biking centres, most notably 7stanes Glentress, which offers around 50 miles of trails with something for all abilities and 7stanes Innerleithen, with its challenging cross-country and downhill trails.
This forest is ideal for taking a relaxing stroll. Those who enjoy wildlife should head to the Glentress Peel Wild Watch centre, where between April and September you can see live remote images of Ospreys and other local wildlife.
