Grampian Transport Museum

Highland Tourist Route

Located in Alford, Grampian Transport Museum is home to an impressive array of exhibits that are not just to be looked at, but touched, boarded and even ridden! Steam engines, horse-drawn coaches and super-fast racing cars can all be seen under one roof at this museum, which is open from early April until late October. Kids can get behind the wheel of mini cars and learn about road safety at the Junior Driving School. Look out for special events too, including steam days, motorcycle conventions and family fun days. Whilst in Alford why not visit Kildrummy Castle and Craigievar Castle?
