The Yemeni tourist board has issued a statement claiming that there’s no salmon fishing in Yemen after being inundated with enquiries following the release of the film Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.
The Yemeni Tourism’s UK spokesman said today “salmon fishing isn’t actually that popular in Yemen, but there are excellent sea fishing opportunities in the country.”
He also believed the EU’s current warning against travel to Yemen was a little excessive, claiming: “Some places are very hospitable but I wouldn’t advise people to go to certain places at this time.”
On the up side, people looking to experience the joys of salmon fishing don’t have to risk their necks jetting off to war torn countries in the Middle East. Scotland is the ideal fishing destination. It’s a stable country despite a recent Putsch by the countries political elite at the cooncil (local council) elections.
You will find four world-class salmon rivers offering keen anglers the opportunity to land the king of fish in stunning scenic countryside.
