Scotland. The country you love needs you.
You might only be able to travel for the day, but it can still make a big difference. Discover a little slice of magic right on your own doorstep with long walks and local produce picnics.
You can now travel around Scotland to see family and friends, exercise or explore, but you should not stay overnight away from your council area. Keep up-to-date with the changes to the Covid-19 restrictions and find everything you need to plan and book your trip.
Very soon, we'll all be able to explore a little further and experience the countryside, hills and landscapes anew, with awe-inspiring landmarks and coastal seascapes for the perfect break.
When we do explore, we'll be heading out responsibly. Getting off the beaten track and away from busy spots, parking properly, closing gates and tidying up after ourselves.
Once we've had our countryside fill, it's time to head into one of our seven cultural cities, with their iconic attractions, relaxing accommodation choices, and innovative bars and restaurants, which can provide sit-in, delivery or takeaway options, depending on current restrictions.
Why not head out on a coastal seaside retreat with miles of sandy beaches on your doorstep during Scotland's Year of Coasts & Waters? Or a glamping escape deep in the countryside with acres of space and time to reconnect with loved ones?
After all, we deserve some quality time to ourselves, and with our friends and family. So there's really no limit on the short breaks and trips away in Scotland we'll be taking in 2021, and beyond.
