I recently came across a great article written by Jeremy Burger for Gear Patrol about what to see and do during a 72 hour stint in our magical capital city, Edinburgh.
Jeremy took the time to not only explore Edinburgh’s main attractions, but got a great feel for the city by taking in all the different areas – from the excellent coffee in the student hub of Marchmont to exploring the book stores and farmer’s market down in my favourite area in Edinburgh, Stockbridge. He also provides some humourous insights that only tourists seem to pick up on:
Everyone is going to or coming from a hill — Castle Rock, Calton Hill with it’s monuments, and Arthur’s Seat in Holyrood Park
His trip finishes with a sneaky trip to Scotland’s Speyside region, where he took a tour of the Glenlivet Distillery.
Go read Jeremy’s entire article, All’s Well That Ends Well: 72 Hours in Edinburgh at Gear Patrol. Alternatively, why not check out the range of other itineraries in Scotland at the VisitScotland website.
