Any rider, any bike, one hill!
The UK’s only multi-discipline, uphill sprint race is coming to Edinburgh later this month where a number of professional and amateur riders will race up the cobblestones of the iconic Grassmarket and Victoria Street in a bid to be crowned the 2013 ‘King of the Hill’.
The event, which takes place on Saturday March 30, will feature a night time uphill eliminator race format with riders from all bike disciplines such as BMX, mountain, road and fixed gear bikes taking part in the grueling 170m sprint.
Qualifying starts bright an early from 6am Saturday morning and is open to 500 cyclists – the fastest 30 riders will then go through to the main event which starts at 7pm, where they’ll take on 10 of the the UK’s elite cycling legends.
Fancy yourself as a likely candidate to take on the pros? Then visit the Red Bull Hill Chasers page and register for your chance to shine under the Saturday night lights. Be quick though, you have until March 22 to enter!
