They always say a dog is man’s best friend, but one intrepid pooch in the Highlands got more than he bargained for when out for his daily walk over the weekend.
The dog came across a baby squirrel and dutifully took it back to his owner, who then handed it into the local SSPCA rescue centre. (cute animal alert…again)
The squirrel, named Squirrelly by staff (you couldn’t make it up), was transferred to Fishcross where he is being cared for.
