Scotland welcomes the world in the Year of Homecoming Scotland 2014! The year-long programme of events will celebrate the very best of Scotland’s food and drink, active and natural resources as well as our creativity, culture and ancestral heritage.

The first Homecoming year in 2009 was such an amazing success that we’re doing it all over again in 2014. Just as before, everyone is invited to come and help us celebrate and reconnect with all that makes Scotland truly great.

We've had an exciting four years in the build up to Homecoming 2014, with year-long celebrations of Food & Drink, Active, Creative Scotland and Natural Scotland which have helped showcase every part of Scottish life.

Alongside the world-class Commonwealth Games which Glasgow will host in July and the 40th Ryder Cup to be staged at historic Gleneagles in September, there's a packed programme of events and festivals which the Homecoming team are putting the finishing touches to, and the full line-up will be announced later this year.

In the meantime, why not visit our Homecoming Events page for more details about the signature events planned for this special year. In addition to these, you can look forward to an exciting blend of festivals, activities, performances and celebrations that will showcase the very best that Scotland has to offer to locals and visitors from around the globe. Browse our dedicated Homecoming pages to find out more.

Whenever you come and wherever you visit, you’ll be very welcome so join us and be part of Homecoming Scotland 2014!
