Recently re-opened, the Gaiety Theatre, in Ayr, is a charming venue which holds many performances throughout the year. The Palace Theatre in Kilmarnock boasts a fantastic year-round programme of music, comedy, drama, dance and light entertainment and the Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine is a multi-purpose venue that hosts regular live music and theatre.

Visitors can peruse eight craft studios of various talented local artisans in West Kilbride Crafts Town Scotland, Scotland’s first Craft Town. View stunning paintings by Alexander Goudie, one of Scotland’s finest artists from the last century, and the Scottish colourists at Rozelle House Galleries and a collection of work from local, national and international artists at the Maclaurin Art Galleries.

Spend a day at Vikingar! in Largs, kids will love the interactive exhibits and stories which bring tales of the Vikings to life. Browse the fascinating range of memorabilia on display from the Girvan and surrounding Carrick area at the Mckechnie Institute and visit the Kilmory Workshop on Arran, which makes authentic, locally crafted woodwork and pottery from local Arran timber.
