Whether you want to find out more about the brewing process, fancy a tour of a distillery, or prefer to sample delicious fruity wines, come and experience the excellent variety of drink attractions across Orkney.

For those looking to sample Orkney’s real ale join a tour of the Orkney Brewery. On the tour you can witness the full brewing process for ever-popular beers and real ales such as Dark Island, Northern Light and the ominous sounding Skull Splitter. The brewery is based near the Heart of Neolithic Orkney, and this inspiration is right at the heart of this unique brewery and its creations.

Visitors to Orkney can also enjoy specialist ales from Rob Hill's small family run Highland Brewing Company. Here you can sample their award-winning Orkney Best, a 3.6 per cent light ale, and their 4.8 per cent Orkney Pale Ale. If you’ve ever wanted to experience digging a mash tun or kettle then all you need to do is turn up at the brewery in your wellies.

Discover the historic distilling secrets of Highland Park with a behinds the scene tour and look out for the distinctive flavours of the whiskies from on Scapa distillery. Find out about more about whisky in Orkney.

You can also discover the unique flavours of the Orkney Wine Company which produces naturally-fermented fruit wine from raspberries and elderberries and don't miss Scotland's only wine festival which has been held each June since 2006.
