Discover the wealth of local produce on offer at the regular Orkney farmers’ market in Kirkwall and at farm shops across the islands.

Orkney's main farmers' market is held on the last Saturday morning of each month where you'll find a wide selection of meat, dairy products, seafood, fruit and vegetables on offer. From organic beef, lamb and pork to prize-winning haggis, sausages and pies, not to mention the amazingly rich, soft and crumbly cheeses, fudge and ice cream, it's a pure foodie heaven!

And besides quality of the food, the great thing about farmers' markets is that you'll often be buying direct from the people who produced it and who'll only be too happy to share hints and tips on how to cook it to perfection.
