Blue Door - Broughton House

Self Catering

Greengate Close, High Street, Kirkcudbright, Kirkcudbrightshire, DG6 4JX

Situated down a charming, cobbled narrow wynd, where the artists E A Taylor and Jessie M King once lived, this cottage (Blue Door) is full of character and provides very comfortable accommodation.

Kirkcudbright offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, attractive coastal landscapes and quiet country roads.  Established as a Royal Burgh in 1455, Kirkcudbright has always been supported by a busy fishing trade.  Behind the harbour the streets have housed generations of creative artists, a tradition maintained today by a flourishing colony of painters and craftworkers.  This has led to Kirkcudbright being called 'The Artists Town'.

You will find a great selection of beaches in the area.  Dhoon, a sandy beach, is approximately 4 miles away and is a safe place for children to paddle.  Another beach at Brighouse Bay is approximately 5 miles away.

Blue Door sleeps 7.  Sitting room, kitchen and wet room with WC on ground floor.  One twin, one double ensuite bedroom with WC and wash basin only, bathroom witth bath and shower on the first floor.  One single and one twin bedroom on the second floor.  Free parking is available on the street outside.
