In the country that boasts a long line of motoring greats, from Sir Jackie Stewart to David Coultard, come and experience the thrill of watching first-class motorsport competitions across Scotland.

On four wheels

Scotland’s National Motorsport Centre is situated at Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife where you’ll find an action packed calendar of events with competitions and displays taking place every month. Knockhill hosts several different competitions, from British Superbikes to Touring Cars. It’s also the venue for Scottish Championship Car Racing and Knockhill Club Car and Bike Racing.

There are thrilling stage or navigational rallies taking place across the country, from the Scottish Borders to the Isle of Mull, so why not check The Scottish Association of Car Clubs (SACC) event listings to find out the competitions dates? In addition, you might find non-competitive classic or historic rally events which are great fun family days out and offer a unique insight into the past.

On two wheels

If you prefer to watch motorsport that involves just two wheels, there are a whole host of chances to see the fast-paced motorcycle events including trials, circuit, road races, enduro and motocross as well a quad motocross. There are over 40 clubs associated with auto cycle events across Scotland which means plenty of opportunities to watch riders kick up the dirt on forest tracks and rugged hillsides, or smell burning rubber on tarmac courses.

In trials, you might see riders navigate gruelling natural obstacles such as rocky slabs and even ride up a stream through raging white waters. For more about auto cycle events in Scotland, check out the Scottish Auto Cycle Union’s (SACU) online calendar?
