Killin is a small attractive village on the Falls of Dochart, a spectacular series of rapids, at the western end of Loch Tay.
The village makes a good base for walks in the surrounding mountains of Breadalbane and Loch Tay is a popular destination for both its salmon fishing and watersports.
One of the most popular visitor attractions in the area is the Breadalbane Folklore Centre which explores the history and mythology of Breadalbane. The centre's highlight is the 1,300 year-old healing stones of St Fillan, an early Christian missionary who settled in nearby Glen Dochart.
Nearby you will find the ruins of the Campbell stronghold of Finlarig Castle and the Moirlanich Longhouse, a rare surviving example of a traditional Scottish Longhouse, maintained by the National Trust for Scotland.
