Famous Escapades Tour Biggar 1/2 day
Welcome to The Bigger Tour. Tour the Southern Uplands from Biggar. Fully licensed and insured. Relive the history of the area including William Wallace and the Border Reivers. Binoculars/scope included for the day refreshments provided.
Be driven and guided through the Southern Uplands from the Burgh Town of Biggar for this 1/2 day tour
Learn about the history of the area including William Wallace and the Border Reivers.
Try to spot Red Squirrels and Deer en route.
Visit a community Wildwood http://www.carrifran.org.uk/ outside Moffat all the while looking for Deer, Black Grouse and other wildlife. Soak up the atmosphere of a majestic waterfall https://www.nts.org.uk/visit/places/grey-mares-tail then on to St Mary's Loch, look out for the Osprey summer visiting.
We will then travel over a steep 'Pass' heading back towards Biggar.
Golden Eagle could be overhead.
Binoculars and spotting scope included for the duration of the tour.
Hot drinks, shortbread and a 'wee Dram' included.
This tour will depart Biggar by The Cross Keys as a half day tour.

The Bigger Tour showcases the scenic Southern Uplands in the South of Scotland whilst travelling in an 8 seat minivan. Day trips from Edinburgh/Glasgow incorporate visits to distilleries, factories or museums, whilst stopping en route in the Southern Uplands looking for wildlife. Lunches can be arranged refreshments provided. Half day tours feature the Southern Uplands looking for the rich diversity of wildlife refreshments are provided en route. Local pick up possible. Private tours arranged. Binoculars supplied per person and spotting scope for use during the tour.
