Collecting you from your cruise liner port and wearing Highland Dress to make your welcome to the Highlands authentic. We drive along the Cromarty Firth where you will learn about the area and its naval history and association with Invergordon. The drive to our first major stop takes us through the town of Dingwall, and villages of Maryburgh, Muir of Ord and Beauly where the ruined Priory was visited by Mary Queen of Scots visited saying it was a beautiful place. Continuing through the hill top crofting communities we descend into the Great Glen and the most famous lake in the world, Loch Ness home to our pet monster "Nessie". Here you will hear about the history of how the lake was formed and the story of Nessie from the first recorded sighting in the 6th century to the modern story from 1933 when the "Monster" story really developed.

No visit to the Lake would be complete without a visit to Urquhart Castle the Iconic symbol of Loch Ness.

Leaving Loch Ness we strike west through fantastic scenery towards Kintail and the Five Sisters. While driving you will be told the story of Eilean Donan probably the most photographed castle in Scotland. Famous for the 23 motion pictures it has had a role in with the best remembered being Highlander. This iconic Castle was rebuilt in the early part of the 20th Century and is now one of Scotland's 5 star visitor attractions. Time is spent here to visit and have lunch either at the Castle or a nearby Inn.

We travel back to the port via the Wester Ross Trail following the famous Kyle of Lochalsh to Inverness railway line described as one of the best scenic journeys in the world.
