Una inolvidable aventura de 3 días hacia la Isla de Skye, uno de los lugares más fascinantes de la geografía escocesa. Desde Edimburgo hacia Inverness, iremos introduciéndonos en un horizonte de increíbles paisajes por las Tierras Altas a través de l

Día 1

El tour de tu vida comienza en el centro de Edimburgo y cruzará la vibrante ciudad de Edimburgo para ponerse rumbo al Norte hasta llegar a las místicas Tierras Altas. Bordeando el Palacio de Linlithgow y los enormes Kelpies, el Castillo de Stirling y el Monumento a William Wallace mientras nuestro guía, buen conocedor de la materia, cuenta las historias y hazañas de los grandes héroes de Escocia, William Wallace y Robert the Bruce. Pararemos en Doune Castle para visitar esta icónica fortaleza, que hace su aparición en “Outlander”, para después aventurarnos a conocer el Parque Nacional de los Trossachs. En nuestra ruta nos lanzamos a conocer castillos y cascadas, antiguas ruinas, monumentos vikingos, lagos y valles, parando en los mejores y más hermosos lugares de las Tierras Altas y conociendo su vida salvaje, como las vaquitas peludas o los ciervos que habitan en los páramos. Atravesando por los caminos de la película “Skyfall”, continuamos hacia el bucólico Valle de Glencoe y las Tres Hermanas, para continuar con nuestro viaje recorriendo Fort William hasta llegar al viaducto de Glenfinnan, mundialmente conocido como “el puente de Harry Potter” por servir de inspiración para la película. Llegados a este punto, nuestro viaje debe ponerse en marcha en dirección al Lago Ness y sus mitológicas aguas. Tras una pausa en este maravilloso lugar, seguiremos nuestro camino hacia las misteriosas ruinas del Castillo de Urquhart y finalmente arribaremos a la singular ciudad de Inverness, capital de las Highlands, donde la historia y la riqueza cultural de la antigua ciudad se advierte entre el ajetreo de la vida moderna. Simplemente, un día completo, fascinante y cautivador, lleno de aventura y diversión. ¡Y sólo es el primero de tres!


Día 2

Tras una noche de descanso reparador y listos para seguir con nuestra aventura, el segundo día en este tour nos dirige al norte desde Inverness, recorriendo la Isla Negra y poniendo rumbo al oeste hacia la “Isla Mística” de Skye, la joya de la corona de Escocia. Cruzando el puente Sligachan, cuyas aguas ocultan el secreto de la belleza eterna, nos penetramos en la pequeña y encantadora ciudad pesquera de Portree, capital de esta mágica isla. Surcando carreteras entre paisajes hipnóticos, nos disponemos a encontrar los lugares más hermosos de Skye; el Anciano de Storr, el Quiraing, la península Trotternish y la Cañada de las Hadas o Fairy Glen, así como bucólicos paisajes panorámicos, elevadas cumbres, valles cayendo en picado y algunas de las formaciones geológicas más admirables de la Tierra. Por último, haremos una parada en el Castillo de Eilean Donan, icónica imagen de Skye, pues guardó a los habitantes de las Tierras Altas del ataque de los Vikingos durante siglos. Pasaremos la cañada Shiel y el “Pico de los españoles” en nuestro regreso hacia el Lago Ness y nuestro punto de partida, Inverness, para disfrutar de uan noche tranquila y relajada después de un mágico día lleno de experiencias.


Día 3

Desde Inverness, nuestro viaje nos lleva ahora al oeste para conocer el territorio Jacobita y el páramo de Culloden, el increíblemente bien preservado campo de batalla donde El Príncipe Carlos el Bueno luchó la última gran batalla librada en Reino Unido. Visita el campo de batalla y transporta tu mente a la Edad de Bronce, rodeado de estructuras y monumentos del cairn de Clava. Con todo el día por delante, conduciremos por Aviemore hasta la destilería de whisky de Dalwhinnie, la más grande del Reino Unido, para degustar lo que nuestros ancestros denominaban “el agua de la vida” y quizás incluso adquirir una botella del producto más exportado de Escocia. Surcaremos de nuevo la carretera a través de las montañas Cairngorms y el bosque de Atholl, bordeando el Castillo de Blair Atholl, hasta llegar a Pitlochry, una hermosa ciudad de estilo victoriano congelada en el tiempo. Pitlochry nos ofrece un descanso para poder disfrutar de uno de sus deliciosos helados de whisky de elaboración artesanal en la heladería más famosa de Escocia. Listos para tomar de nuevo la carretera, iremos en busca de La Ermita en Perthshire, escondida entre el terreno boscoso, donde cogeremos un agradable paseo que te hará sentir la magia del lugar. El paseo acaba ante las imponentes cataratas de Black Linn, un lugar de verdaderamente conmemorativo.

Al final de este tour, cruzaremos por el puente de Forth Bridges de vuelta a la ciudad de Edimburgo, recordando este inolvidable viaje de tres días a lo más único de Escocia.
