Private Tour for 1 - 3 people to Dornoch Cathedral and Dunrobin Castle. We leave Inverness and travel north via Struie Hill, (millionaires viewpoint), looking out over the Dornoch Firth. Then onto Carbisdale Castle viewpoint, (The Castle of Spite !). Falls of Shin is our next stop, maybe see a salmon climbing the falls ?. Dornoch Cathedral is our next stop. A charming small Cathedral tucked away in the historic town of Dornoch. Madonna had her son christened here in year 2000. Elon Musk got married here in 2010. Finally we arrive at Dunrobin Castle. This is by far the largest castle in the north off Scotland with over 180 rooms, and home Dukes and Earls of Sutherland. There are also beautiful gardens with an array of exotic plants and flowers which, thanks to the 'gulf stream. can flourish even at this latitude. Last but not least, Dunrobin put on an amazing Falconry display, highlighting these raptors hunting skills, phew, quite a day out !!
Tour is for 1 - 3 people and cost is £280 per tour, NOT per person. There is also the option of a forest walk to Blackrock Gorge at Evanton. 1.6 km walk to the gorge/ravine that was used in Harry Potter movie, The Goblet of Fire.
N.B , a certain level of fitness is required for this walk.
