TALES AND TASTES OF ULLAPOOL (2.5 h)

Your adventure begins with a 30 minute leisurely walk through Ullapool’s historic heart with your local expert guide who will lead you away from the crowds. Explore Ullapool’s oldest buildings and streets, listen to the stories behind them and enjoy breathtaking views. Then relax and indulge in authentic homebaking, freshly baked scones and cakes with coffee or tea, and a dram of whisky or local gin in a cosy café loved by locals. Sit back and soak up the atmosphere as your knowledgeable guide brings Ullapool’s past and present to life with captivating stories and genuine local insight. Venture back to the harbour on a different path and discover some hidden gems and local stories and folklore on this 20 minute stroll.

NATURAL WONDERS & HIDDEN HISTORY WALK (2 h 15 min)

Join us for a scenic nature and history walking tour at a relaxed pace, led by a friendly and knowledgeable local guide. See the historic harbour area, rich in character and charm, and learn how Ullapool was created. Circle around our village off the beaten track to discover beyond the obvious. As you explore, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views. Savour the spectacular coastal panorama, the mountain vista, and enjoy magnificent views of Ullapool river and the outlying islands. Whether you’re a nature lover, an adventurer with an interest in history, a passionate photographer, or simply seeking a peaceful escape, this leisurely walk is a great way to experience the beauty and heritage of the Northwest Highlands.

The walk is easy with some short inclines/declines and some stairs/steps. Comfortable sturdy shoes and rain gear advised. Tour led by a local expert guide. Group size 6-14 people. Tour price: £35 per person.
