This route can be started from a number of points including Kinlochleven, Glencoe village, Ballachuish or North Ballachulish but it is described here from Ballachulish which has good access from the A82 and plenty of parking.
Leave Ballachulish and follow the old railway (signposted as part of the National Cycle network) towards the Ballachulish Bridge. Cross the bridge and after a further 300 meteres turn right onto the B863 signposted to Kinlochleven. After a short way the road passes Bishops bay - a picturesque bay often with boats adding to the spectacular mountsin views. Continue along the B863 which hugs the coastline all the way to Kinlochleven. The return by the southern shore undulates a lot more with a couiple of bigger climbs before turning the corner to reach Glencoe village. From here the return to Ballachulish is along a traffic free cycle route / path that links Glencoe with Ballachulish.
