Open all year round Persabus Pottery and Ceramic Cafe is situated on our working hebridean hill farm and offers pottery painting workshops for all ages, as well as serving light refreshments, or simply browse our potterygift range on sale, each piece, individually hand painted at the pottery, captures the essence of island life.
You can also choose from a variety of unglazed bisque and have a go at creating your own unique piece of pottery to take home. We offer pottery painting sessions for all ages and welcome children and adults to our classes. We will glaze and fire your finished pieces, which you can collect a few days later, or you can choose to paint your piece using acrylics and we will varnish it for you take home with you on the day.
Sit at our picninc benches and enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the Paps of Jura and the Sound of Islay as you enjoy our traditional afternoon tea. Choose from a selection of home baked cakes and scones, freshly prepared sandwiches, cafetieres of coffee or the variety of loose leaf teas we have for sale.
We have a wide selection of pottery for sale. Each piece has been individually hand painted, glazed and fired on the premises. The various ranges are unique to Islay, and were inspired by the varying hues of the ever changing seasons, and the flora and fauna of the island.
Situated on Persabus Farm, close to Port Askaig, along the single track road to Bunnahabhain.
If coming by bus, ask the driver to drop you at the Bunnahabhain road, we are a very short walk along that road.
