Ancestry & Clan Research Tours

Work with our Professional Genealogist and qualified STGA Tour Guide, for your family and/or clan research – then bespoke a memorable private tour to allow you ‘to walk in the footsteps of your ancestors’.

RobbieMac offers professional Scottish and colonial genealogy services and has worked with numerous clients worldwide to:

  • Research their family ancestry and / or clan history.
  • Compile Family History Reports.
  • Organise bespoke Ancestral and Clanlands Tours.
  • Provide advice & guidance on organising Family Reunions & Clan Gatherings.

Robyn is lead researcher and is a professional genealogist and tour guide:

  • Professional genealogist for over 20 years specialising in Scottish Families, Highland Clans and the Returning Scots Diaspora.
  • Member of Scottish Genealogy Society.
  • Member of the Association of Professional Genealogists.
  • Scottish Tour Guides Association (STGA) registered and insured Tour Guide.
  • Highlands of Scotland Tour Guides Association (HOSTGA) registered and insured Tour Guide.

Robyn brings vast professional expertise and local knowledge to your ancestral tour or clan enquiries. We will work with you via email, telephone, Facebook or Skype to carry out research before your tour. to ensure you get the most out of it.

It is important to us that we ensure our personal Family History Report is comprehensive, and that the bespoke ancestral or clan tour, and/or family meetings or gathering, make your trip to Scotland very, very special! We create a ‘personal bespoke package’ to suit individual interests and research outcome depending on the results of your research.

Research can be challenging in some instances. Many are surprised to find they have Scots-Irish or colonial connections – and this opens up a whole new avenue of research and family history for them.

Local knowledge makes a world of difference. Tailor-made tours are crafted by trusted local experts, once your family history has been researched and your tour outline agreed. The big question is: how long do you want to spend on your ancestry tour?

Be warned, it will be a very emotional tour when you walk in the ‘footsteps of your ancestors’!
