Contin and the Strathpuffer Course

Experience the infamous Strathpuffer 24hr winter MTB endurance race course but without the snow & ice!

Contin Woods are now synonymous with the Strathpuffer, a gruelling 24 hour mountain bike race held in the depths of the dark Scottish winter. The course often changes but always contains a good mix of smooth forestry road climbs, rocky descents and slick singletrack. And, yes, our guides are mad enough to have taken part in the race.

You’ll ride two laps of the course. The first lap will be the classic Puffer course, the second lap will blend the best bits of the Puffer course with some cheeky extra singletrack trails that will test your skills and put a smile on your face!

What’s included?

  • Friendly local guide
  • Two laps, plus more if time permits
  • Riding skills advice to help you get the most out of the trails
  • Hot drinks and homemade cake between laps
  • Plenty opportunities for photos and a wee blether

Laps are approx 11km long and contains around 400m of climbing. A good level of fitness is required for this ride. Suitable for riders confident on blue/red graded trails but all technical sections can be walked. You can expect reasonable stretches of climbing, rock slab descents, woodland singletrack and big bermed corners to finish.

You can join this tour on a public ride (see website for dates) or book a private ride just for your group!

Over 18s only on Public Rides. Want to take the family? Enquire about a Private Ride.
