Turnberry Ayrshire.

Culzean Castle & Turnberry tour.

Exploring the Ayrshire coast, Electric Brae, Culzean Castle, Troon & Turnberry with a private guide.

  • CULZEAN CASTLE, ELECTRIC BRAE, ROYAL TROON & TURNBERRY GOLF COURSES. (8 HOURS)

Heading south from Greenock Ocean Terminal and through Gourock, we pass through the pretty seaside towns of Largs, Fairlie and Seamill. Continuing along the Ayrshire coast our first stop is Royal Troon golf course, host of the 2016 Open. Passing Ayr we continue south at Alloway skirting the Ayrshire coast and cross over the world famous optical illusion known as The Electric Brae. This route provides us with the opportunity to enjoy panoramic views across the Irish Sea and see the granite bird sanctuary of Ailsa Craig from where curling stones are hewn. We continue towards Culzean Castle, seat of the Clan Kennedy where we are able to enjoy the fascinating history and visit he stunning gardens and country park. A short drive from the castle brings us into Turnberry, where many Open Golf Championships have been held. Here we may take lunch in the Turnberry Clubhouse. On leaving Turnberry, we experience a scenic drive north through the beautiful Scottish countryside and enjoy a refreshment break on our way back to the ship.
