The Eat walk Edinburgh Old and New town Tour is the original Edinburgh food walking tour.

The food walking tour takes you through areas of Old town dating back to the 15th Century but also takes in the New Town dating from 18th Century. As we meander through these two distinct historical areas you will stop off at restaurants and bars for locally sourced Scottish food and drink tastings. Many of the venues selected in the New town are where local will normally eat.

The tour last 3-3.5 hours visiting five venues for food tastings with three of the stops also having drink tastings. The guide will not only talk about the history of the area as the group walks between venues but will also point out other places to visit after the tour is over.

The maximum number we take on our regular tours at 1pm and 5pm are 8, but even if only 2 or 3 people are booked the tour will still go ahead.

Those on the tour are given audio headsets to listen to the guide while walking at their own pace or wandering off to take photos. We also give out maps at the end of the tour showing the places visited with many offering discounts should people have time to return.

With prior notice we can offer suitable dietary alternatives, we even have vegetarian haggis and our regular Haggis is gluten free.

Details on tour meeting point are sent out at time of booking and are subject to change.

Regular daily tours are guided in English. The tour is also available in , German, French, Russian and Spanish but only as as private tours with price subject to number in your group.
