Great Glen Cycle Way

Cycle coast to coast across Scotland along the stunning Great Glen, from Fort William to Inverness. Ride beside iconic lochs, including Loch Ness, explore 13th-century Urquhart Castle, and tackle thrilling singletrack trails.

This 124 km adventure follows the Caledonian Canal, passes the engineering marvel of Neptune’s Staircase, and brings you face-to-face with the 13th-century Urquhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness.

The route offers a perfect mix of experiences: easy canal-side stretches, thrilling singletrack, fire roads, and fast descents. Ride along Loch Lochy and Loch Oich, pedal through lush glens and hillsides, and enjoy challenging climbs that open up panoramic Highland views. Each night, relax in carefully selected B&Bs, guesthouses, and small country hotels, with daily baggage transfer making the journey seamless and comfortable.
