Private Old Town and Castle Tour
This tour is perfect for first time arrivals in Edinburgh with only a limited amount of time to see the city. It’s a great opportunity to get the skinny on good places to eat and drink as well as other attractions a bit off the beaten track.
On this tour take a walk through the historic Old Town before visiting Scotland’s most famous attraction, Edinburgh Castle, in the company of an expert local guide who most likely will have a PhD in Scottish history. The Old Town has so many stories tucked away in its distinctive closes and wynds as well as amazing views of impossibly beautiful streets and public buildings.
On the final part of the tour you will head into Edinburgh Castle itself where you will find out about it’s many historic roles as hill fort, medieval fortress, royal residence, prison and army garrison.

Local Eyes Tours
See Scotland with Local Eyes! All our tours are led by local guides who live in (or are from) the places we visit on tour, so if you're looking for an authentic experience of Scotland, you're in the right place! Local Eyes was started in 2013 by Chris Walker because he wanted to share his hometown with the world. Now, in 2018, we are a small group of excellent guides who all want to show you where we come from, and why we love Scotland. We offer a range of tours in and around Edinburgh and the Highlands. All our tours are private and we aim to customise them to best suit your needs.
