The Ultimate Highland Whisky Experience – Inverness
Departing in the morning from Inverness, we will travel east, dipping into the magnificent Cairngorms National Park, on our way to the first stop of our one-day whisky tour; Cardhu Distillery.
Duration: 9 hours 15 minutes
Distance: Approx. 100 miles
Departure – Inverness (Morning)Your journey begins in Inverness, travelling east into the Scottish Highlands and through the scenic landscapes of the Cairngorms National Park, setting the tone for a day of whisky discovery and Highland views.
Arrive at Cardhu Distillery, founded in 1824 and an important contributor to Johnnie Walker whiskies. Learn about its rich history and traditional production methods.
An optional “Nip Round” tasting experience is available, offering a guided introduction to the distillery and the opportunity to sample two selected whiskies.
Continue to the Speyside Cooperage, where you will gain insight into the traditional craft of barrel making. Watch skilled coopers at work and learn about the vital role casks play in the maturation and character of whisky.
Travel north to the historic town of Elgin, where there will be free time to enjoy lunch, explore the town, or experience local Highland cuisine.
Your final stop is Benromach Distillery, a family-owned distillery renowned for its traditional Speyside style.
An optional Contrast Tasting Experience is available, allowing you to sample a selection of distinctive and experimental single malts.
Relax on the return journey through the Highlands, arriving back in Inverness after a full day exploring Scotland’s whisky heritage.
